What once seemed like a dead franchise is now flooded with a sense of rejuvenation. Not only is Kevin Bacon returning the world of Tremors with an all-new TV series, but Michael Gross and Jamie Kennedy are set to star in the sixth Tremors movie – Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell.
The sequel was announced in 2017, and while production has since been completed and the film prepared for release, there still haven’t been any trailer reveals or anything of that sort. However, Screen Rant did get their hands on some new photos featuring Michael Gross and Jamie Kennedy as Burt and his son, respectively.
The film carries over much of the same creative team members as Tremors 5, which may or may not excite fans of the series. It was also shot in Cape Town, South Africa, the same location as the previous film.
Whether you’re a fan or not of how the movie seems to be shaping, you’ll be happy to know Kevin Bacon’s Tremors series appears to be a completely separate entity. In fact, it seems to be a direct sequel the very first movie – which could lead to some interesting possibilities and all-new fresh ground for the franchise to break through.
Until then, Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell still doesn’t have a current release date. But considering Tremors 5 had an October release date, it might be safe to assume that’s when Tremors 6 will hit.
In the film…
Intrepid creature hunter Burt Gummer and his son Travis find themselves in a remote hotbed of giant man-eating worms in the newest action-packed entry in the wildly popular Tremors franchise.
