The Academy has revealed the 2018 Oscar Nominations, and there are some that many people expected, but some that were definitely snubbed. James Franco, who won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist, was one of those, who didn’t even receive a nomination. Presumably because of the recent sexual misconduct allegations against the actor, but that didn’t stop the Academy from nominating Kobe Bryant for a film he produced.
Scarlett Johansson recently slammed James Franco for the allegations, but had no problem supporting Roman Polanski and Woody Allen back in the day.
Some other surprising things from the list of nominees was Logan finally getting some awards love, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi making the list as well.
