Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn recently took to Twitter to respond to the recent medical analysis of current President of the United States, Donald Trump. In a series of tweets, the filmmaker went onto call Trump’s listing of 6’3 and 239 pounds ridiculous, and compared it to all of his administration’s fabricating of facts – something no other politician has ever done in the history of politics.
It’s not the first time the director has sent out a tweet storm, as he recently had a pretty epic rant on the Marvel and DC fan rivalry, most notably the arguing about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that plagued comment sections everywhere for quite some time.
Check out the tweets (and re-tweets) on Trump below:
Trump’s medical exam says he’s 6’3″ and 239 pounds. Albert Pujols is 6’3″ and 240 pounds. If the dementia tests are equally accurate, we are doomed. pic.twitter.com/fn0u1xzzjI

Come to think of it, perhaps Trump doesn’t weigh as much as one would think because his tiny hands weigh a gram a piece.

I will give 100 thousand dollars to Trump’s favorite charity if he will step on an accurate scale with an impartial medical professional, okayed by both of us. For real. #Girther #GirtherMovement

Yes. But I’m sitting here talking to a guy whose body shape is almost exactly the same as Trump’s and he weighs 245 pounds… and is 5’11”. That muscle/fat thing only goes so far. https://t.co/qumq27F4QX

This has nothing to do with fat shaming. It has to do with a continuous pattern of fabricating facts by both Trump and his administration. https://t.co/88Jw1pGLfe

Being on the front page of Breitbart brings a whole new level of, um, unconventional thinking to one’s page. https://t.co/oOHvZSuauW

Again, I don’t care about whether Trump has sex with a porn star just like I don’t care about his weight. But I do care about his constant and unrepentant lying about all matters (and yeah, looks like he definitely slept with that porn star). https://t.co/f5Lb8jLTN8

Yes, I offered 100k for Trump to step on a legitimate scale. Now the Trumpites are out in droves claiming I’m fat-shaming (again, it’s about a pattern of lying, not about weight). I wish you guys were there while Trump was calling Rosie a “fat pig” or Alicia Machado “Miss Piggy.”

Thank you, @JeffFlake. And this is WHY I have spoken out about politics today. Not because of true political disagreements, but because one man – President Trump – has been conducting a full-scale assault on objective truth. https://t.co/axxj7H05uU

But that’s the point of my tweet. The biggest issue we are facing is a dictator wannabe who is trying to destroy the press. When facts don’t matter, we can’t even begin to have real conversations & debates about policy with a figure like that leading our country. https://t.co/Mng2wvxL6q

Gunn was quickly accused of fat shaming, which he says he wasn’t doing.
If you look at this from a fair minded point of view, it’s all a little ridiculous. Trump probably isn’t 6’3, as it’s often been said that he’s closer to 6’2, as most of the pictures would indicate. Not really a huge deal, but as Gunn hints at, it is a bit troubling if the medical exam overstated his height and wasn’t accurate on his weight. Could it be that they did it with his shoes on? We may never know.
What do you think of James Gunn’s comments? Do you think the President is 6’2 or 6’3? Maybe even 6’1? Be sure to tell us your thoughts on his height and weight in the comment section!
