It was announced previously that Kevin Smith would begin working on an anthology horror film entitled Killroy Was Here, a movie inspired by the famous Kilroy WWII graffiti. The film first started shooting in Sarasota, Florida, last summer. With the aid of the Ringling College of Art and Design, it’s continued shooting into 2018.

We know this because Smith quickly tweeted a behind the scenes shot for the film to start off the new year. In it we see that his daughter Harley Quinn Smith has been cast in a role for the film.
“Dude just got lost, and the next time they find him he’s just sitting there, eating babies,” Smith explained on the Edumacation podcast while describing the film’s antagonist. Co-host Andy McElfresh continued, “And he becomes transformed. Before he loses all of his humanity, they try to rehabilitate him, and instead that drives him out into the wilderness, where he’s transformed into this monster.”
Lastly, Smith explained,
“He’s all melted in the face, that’s what creates the long nose effect.”
It certainly sounds like an interesting premise for a movie. It’ll be interesting to see how Killroy’s origin will branch off into the different anthology segments for the film, and whether or not he’ll simply be a background character for most of them. Hopefully we get more information soon.
Justin Kucsulain will play Killroy, in a cast that also includes Azita Ghanizada, Ryan O’Nan, Kathryn Parks, Brendan Ragen, Michael Perez and Cindy De La Cruz.
