Like most DC films, Justice League was one of the most controversial releases of 2017, as its mixed critically and fan reaction caused a lot of chaotic arguments. What fans and critics of the film can agree on is that a director’s cut of the film would be an interesting watch, as much of Zach Snyder’s vision was modified by fill-in director Joss Whedon.
Fans are continuing to beg and plead for a Justice League director’s cut, as prominent YouTuber Itzmoe is now organizing a protest to support its release. This was his official release for the protest:
L.A. #ZackSnyder FANS! Come take a photo w/ us in front of Warner Bros. holding a #ReleaseTheSnyderCut sign supporting Zack’s #JusticeLeague cut THIS SATURDAY at 11am! RSVP HERE: https://t.co/6RSKULvgyg

The full original post read:
“Join me (ITZMOE on YouTube) and other Snyder fans as we take a photo in front of Warner Bros. with a #ReleaseTheSnyderCut sign while wearing our Zack Snyder shirts/ DC shirts, & costumes to (peacefully) show our support for the release of a Snyder cut of Justice League! After we take the photo, we will all share it on ALL of our social media so hopefully it will spread and get it to Zack himself so he can see it, like he saw the “Thank You Zack Snyder” video I made!
PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY SIGNS. I will have the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut sign and that is the ONLY sign that we want in the photo so the focus will be on that, so instead of bringing a sign, just wear any shirts you have supporting Zack, DC, or Justice League cosplay you may have.
**ABSOLUTELY NO SHIRTS/ SIGNS INSULTING WB/ JOSS/ ETC. WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PHOTO!*** We want to show support for Zack Snyder, so we want to focus on our support and love for him and his work, NOT dissing others, so DO NOT bring shirts/ signs insulting others or you won’t be allowed in the photo. We don’t want to embarrass Zack and give Zack Snyder fans a bad name. We want to show him how much we appreciate him and make this a photo that he would be happy to share. PLEASE share this around everywhere so we can have a large group in the photo supporting Zack and his JL cut!!!”
First off, I appreciate the level-headed approach Itzmoe is taking to this protest. While I would argue that a protest for a director’s cut is a bit extreme, its at least being approached in a peaceful way. To be frank though, I don’t think people realize that a director’s cut for this film would not really be possible.
Much of what Zach Snyder and his team of writers did was most likely never actually filmed, so its not possible to ever see what is true director’s cut is. Personally though from ideas I’ve heard, I would have much rather of seen Snyder’s original vision for Justice League than what we got for a final product. The story went in a lot more interesting directions and was more in tone with what the universe has established.
What do you think of the protest? Will you be taking part? Be sure to tell us your thoughts in the comments!
