It’s pretty obvious that Warner Bros. cut Justice League to the point where it was a completely different film than the one Zack Snyder created before leaving the project back in May. Now, another voice has chimed in on the subject, none other than Snyder’s son, Jett.
In a recent post on Vero, his son said:
“On a more serious note I did enjoy the movie, although it is clearly not what it could have been due to the meddling of Warner Brothers and the forced comedy. The run time was my biggest gripe with the movie, with events that should take a long time over in a flash; $ but still definitely a fun movie to watch, and would recommend it.”
It’s interesting that his son has seen the film, as Zack Snyder has said that he hasn’t watched it yet:
“I will be honest, I have not seen the film since I stepped away. You know I love these characters. I wish only I could only finish it for you and the others who love MOS, BvS.”
With a petition for the release of the Director’s Cut reaching over 100,000 signatures, it’s starting to seem like we could have a realistic chance of getting an Ultimate Edition of the film like we did with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
If fans want a cut, we see no reason why Warner Bros. shouldn’t honor their wishes and let everyone see Snyder’s three film trilogy that began with Man of Steel. As of right now, he’s not expected to direct any future DC Films, so there’s no reason not to release it at this point.
