With all of the disturbing news about celebrities coming to light involving sexual assault and misconduct, someone on Twitter thought it would be a good idea to start a thread in which people share positive experiences about celebrities that may have gone unnoticed.
There are a lot of replies, so we tried to put together the most interesting ones:

robin williams was the nicest, most compassionate celebrity I ever had the pleasure of knowing in person. personally saw him threaten to beat the hell out of some rando harassing a homeless person in the ocean district six or so years ago

David Tennant not only graciously accepted an academic paper from a random fan in the Richard II stage door line but actually read it and sent me an appreciative note about it

Can confirm. Chatted @ a con with Romero since he was signing outside of posted autograph hours. No line. Husband and I’s first date was all Romero movies. He said that sounded “horrible”. Haha

I once saw Matt Pinfield in Times Square in the early 2000s and my instinct was to offer him a closed fist pound and he pounded me back and kept on walking

Alan Moore is an absolute sweetheart to fans. I went to a signing he did once and the line moved so slowly because he was striking up full-fledged conversations with everyone who stood in front of him (He and I talked about The Simpsons).

Danny DeVito tipped $120 to have two cases of wine one delivered one block to his apartment.

It’s definitely a refreshing change of pace for the stories we’ve been getting this week (the past month really) out of Hollywood. With more stories rumored to surface soon, we’ll probably need more of these Twitter threads as well.
