Rumors are heating up when it comes to DC Films and one of the rumors that are starting to pick up steam is casting news for DC’s Nightwing film. The DCEU has a considerable amount of movies that have a set release date or is set to start production very soon so one of them being Nigthwing is everyone’s radar.
Fans are speculating on who will be cast in the lead film that is being helmed by director Chris McKay and a favorite is to be actor Finn Wittrock of American Horror Story. The speculation started when many folks on the Twitter, who follow Wittrock, had noticed something that would get their hopes up of the acting taking on the role of Dick Grayson.
It would appear that Wittrock recently decided to follow Chris McKay on his Twitter account and that the owner of a very big DC Extended Universe fan-page claims to have inside sources that DC Films is eyeing the actor for the lead.
Even though some fans had dismiss this rumor dead in the water, the “scooper” claiming to know this for a fact went to Reddit to double down on his claim.
“This is my first scoop. I do not have a track record to follow. I’ve made connections using the DCEU page though and that’s led to getting information,” the person behind the scenes wrote.
He continues one:
“It should be noted, I am not Warner Bros, Chris McKay, DC Films, etc. I felt confident enough to confirm Finn as Nightwing as an EXCLUSIVE. Take it with a grain of salt until it’s confirmed, but don’t be surprised when he is announced.”
Of course, this is all with a grain of salt and that everyone and their dead grandma is claiming to be an insider with “heavy evidence” of some sort.
Whoever WB and McKay chooses for the role, the director has already stated the level of dedication the lucky one will have to fulfill for the role:
“Every day. It is going to be grueling from a martial arts, gymnastics and stunt perspective. Also emotionally taxing. It’s going to be real,” McKay stated.
Let’s all keep our ears to the ground and keep a lookout for any clues that might be picked up on any casting news in the near future.
