If we were to list off the celebrities that have voiced their displeasure for current President of the United States, Donald Trump, I’m not sure it could be fit into one article.
Well, it appears that a group has now realized that their voices aren’t enough – and are trying to buy Twitter to ban Trump from tweeting.
You can add Star Wars star Mark Hamill to that list:
Let’s #BuyTwitter and #BanTrump! With my #ArmageddonAnxiety growing daily- I donated gladly! #GoodLuckValerie https://t.co/8saF5KMnA1

#BuyTwitter is symbolic & satirical (Raise $1B? LOL!) Plus-I WANT him to keep tweeting-it’s all admissible evidence for #TrumpRussia/Mueller https://t.co/JT7pC9zqwY

So far, the campaign has raised over $83,000 of the $1 billion goal. It was reportedly started by former CIA nuclear proliferation expert Valerie Wilson.
“If we hit this goal, we’ll use it to become Twitter’s single biggest shareholder and leverage that position to enforce its rules against violent threats, intimidation and hate speech, and shut down Trump for good,” Wilson wrote on the campaign’s page.
She added:
“If we don’t hit that target but raise a lot of money along the way, we’ll use that demonstration of public support to pressure Twitter to take action — and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Global Zero, a nonprofit organization leading the resistance to nuclear war. (No matter what, I won’t keep a penny of these funds or benefit financially in any way.)”
Stephen King will probably donate, as earlier this week, he was blocked by Trump and declared that the president was not allowed to see the upcoming IT Movie:
Donald Trump blocked me on Twitter. I am hereby blocking him from seeing IT or MR. MERCEDES. No clowns for you, Donald. Go float yourself.

We’ll keep you posted on whether or not Twitter is bought by this GoFundMe campaign.
