One thing that many fans have wanted to see for some time now is Marvel TV characters crossing over into the movies – or vice versa.
While attending today’s Wizard World event in Columbus, Ohio, we were able to get Hestridge’s comments on that subject – in which she revealed that Agents of SHIELD appearing in a Marvel movie would be pretty tricky:
“I don’t know. It’s such a boring answer, but time scale wise – they should those movies and then they’re out in 2-3 years and we shoot stuff that’s out in a couple of weeks. Would we keep [everything the same] for 3 years? You have to think about logistics. So, I don’t know but logistically, it’s tricky.”
The actress did, however, mention what movie she’d want to be in – if it were to happen:
“I want to be in the Black Widow movie.”
The response of “I don’t know” seems to be the echoing statement from everyone involved in the Marvel movies or television – they don’t know if it’s going to happen or not.
Falcon actor Anthony Mackie gave a more straight forward answer back in March:
“Different universes, different worlds, different companies, different designs. Kevin Feige is very specific about how he wants the Marvel Universe to be seen in the film world. It wouldn’t work. It wouldn’t work at all.”
Daredevil actor Charlie Cox also revealed he’d be interested in a crossover:
“I’d love that too. Those Easter eggs are thrilling to me. As they are to all of you guys, the fans. Sadly, Elden and myself have not been invited to the conversations that take place where they make those decisions. So, until we are invited to those conversations, we have no idea what’s going to happen.”
Here’s hoping it happens.
