Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight just can’t catch a break.
Of course, it’s rumored that he hung “Ice Ice Ice Baby” Vanilla Ice out a hotel patio, beat an engineer in front of Dr.. Dre, and has been known to have numerous affiliations with Los Angeles gangs – but Suge Knight just can’t catch a break.
And now, he’s in more trouble.
Knight has had a new criminal charge added to his 2015 attempted murder – which is threatening to kill director of the N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton, F. Gary Gray.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Knight appeared in a courthouse in Los Angeles, CA and pleaded not guilty to an indictment that accuses Knight of threatening to kill or cause bodily harm to F. Gary Gray.
Suge Knight has had a long history of going in and out of jail for many different chargers going all the way back to 1987. His family was there in support of the former rap mogul and even his son wore a shirt that read:
“FREE SUGE”
Suge Knight was one of the founders of the well known Death Row Records during the 90’s and worked with many legendary rap artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, and Tupac himself.
He helped put many of these artists on the map and helped distribute Dr. Dre’s first solo album The Chronic. One of the biggest things that came from Death Row Records was the infamous feud between East Coast and West Coast rappers.
His murder charges stem from a hit-and-run-incident that killed one man and injured another in Compton, California. The next morning, Knight would turn himself in for the incident and a suspicion of murder was charged on the suspect.
There is actual surveillance footage of Knight running over the two men, that were involved with the production of Straight Outta Compton, but sources close to Knight are beginning to say that the case is slowly becoming undone and believe that law enforcement are “out to get him” despite the footage.
Despite the evidence, do any of you think he did it? Comment and let us know below!
