WONDER WOMAN Concept Art Reveals Much Different Look For ARES

    By Frank PalmerJuly 27, 2017

Wonder Woman was easily one of the best superhero movies of the year, and what some might not know, is that the film nearly featured a much different looking villain.

Some new concept art from Peter Mckinstry has revealed just that:

    This is how ‘He’ looked when he left the art department…after many versions, sculpted in #zbrush #wonderwoman #conceptart #conceptartist #petermckinstry #photoshop #wonderwomanconceptart #digitalpainting #digitalart

The Wonder Woman sequel has also already been confirmed for 2019 and Geoff Johns and Patty Jenkins are writing it:

“Patty and I are writing the treatment right now. The goal is to make another great Wonder Woman film. I had a blast making it with Patty the first time. We’ve got a cool idea for the second one.”

Apprently, one person didn’t like it though. Former Batgirl actress Alicia Silverstone, who said the following:

“Before Wonder Woman…Wonder Woman? Before Wonder Woman there have been many movies with female leads, so I get a little confused, We have made strides, of course. I think about, what about all those wonderful comedians who are females who have had massive hits? There’s Bridesmaids.”

    She added:

“I don’t know. I just feel like, over the years, there was Mean Girls, there was Clueless, over time we have had so many movies that have been female-driven.”

went on to complain about the movie itself, insinuating that it may not be the most ideal film for youngsters. She explained:

”It has to be Wonder Woman. It has to have tons of flash, right? Like when you’re looking at children’s films now, as a mom, I don’t want my kid to see all that. Loud effects, all the stuff that’s like stimulate, stimulate! But that’s what audiences want, so it’s a tricky thing. Sometimes it’s just the quieter more interesting things sometimes get seen because they touch someone enough.”

Wonder Woman is currently playing in theaters.
