Last year’s Suicide Squad was a lot if people’s anticipated movie. However, despite winning an Oscar for Best Make-up it was released to less than stellar reviews.
The fallout from this was Jared Leto openly complaining about the lack of Joker in the film despite him saying they had filmed a lot of material.
Now, Roman Vasyanov has released some images on his Instagram from behind the scenes showing the direction Suicide Squad almost went in.
The first image shows Leto’s Joker from one of the many deleted scenes in which sees him looking worse for ware, after being rejected by Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

The scene was said to be too up front about the abusive nature of Harley and Joker’s relationship and so was cut from the film.

The second image shows a close up of a pair of Joker dancers sprayed gold and wearing bat-masks. When and where these would have appeared is a mystery and unless there is a darker cut waiting in the wings we most likely won’t be seeing it any time soon.
It’s a shame as David Ayer has openly said that he wishes he could have made Joker the main antagonist and it shows that Warner Bros. Got cold feet regarding the direction of the Joker.
Maybe with Ayer’ s Gotham City Sirens we may get a revised version of the Joker and a glimpse into the abusive relationship that we know from the comics.
However, until that time, DCEU fans can catch Justice League in Cinemas in November.
