At this point in time, it’s probably easier to list who isn’t going to be in Avengers: Infinity War than it is to list who will be in it, but those of you who are keeping track of the film’s ever expanding cast list will be interested to know that yet another member of the Black Panther cast will be joking the fight against Thanos. Read on to find out who it is.
Deadline is reporting that The Walking Dead actress, Danai Gurira, is set to reprise her Black Panther role in the upcoming threequel. It was confirmed at San Diego Comic Con last year that Gurira would be portraying Okoye, a member of T’Challa’s elite guard the Dora Milaje, although her role in Avengers: Infinity War is currently unknown.
Gurira’s involvement will make her the third member of the Black Panther cast to join the film after Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and Winston Duke as M’Baku/Man-Ape. This definitely seems to confirm earlier reports that a portion of the film will take place in Wakanda – with earlier rumors pointing to the secluded country actually being the location of the Soul Stone, one of the six Infinty Stones being sought by Thanos to complete his Guantlet.
You can check out Gurira in Black Panther when it hits theaters February 26th, 2018.
