There have been a number of actors who have portrayed the Batman over the years, and they are all proud to have carried that particular torch. Though I doubt any of them will be telling us where the bat cave is any time soon, Michael Keaton has said some strong words on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Kimmel professed his love for Spider-Man comic books, then saying Spider-Man was the funny one. Keaton quickly responded by leaping up out of his chair, reaching over Kimmel’s desk, and mock strangling him. Jimmy then said he forgot and he was sorry. He went on to say Keaton was playing as Spider-Man’s rival in Spider-Man: Homecoming, to which Keaton’s reply was:
“No, I’m Batman! What the f*** are you talking about?”
Of course, this was all in jest as Keaton was on the show to promote the movie.
Jimmy asked Keaton about whether or not he was asked questions about his turn as the Batman. He was all to happy to talk about it and how great the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming is. He even said Tom Holland is a great kid, though I doubt anyone would be surprised about that sentiment.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” will release on July 7, 2017 and will be directed by Jon Watts starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
Take a look at the synopsis below:
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
