This woman’s reaction is priceless since she was on a missionary trip when Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One had debuted. She had missed them both when she was partaking in a higher calling.
Since television of any sort is forbidden whilst LDS mission trips, when Brinley returned, she was awestruck as she sat through Rogue One’s ending which obviously leads into 1977’s A New Hope.
Her friend Stephen Smoot posted it on Facebook and YouTube:
This week my friend Brinley returned from her LDS mission. She is a HUGE Star Wars fan! But due to the timing of her mission call she missed seeing both Episode 7 and Rogue One. (Mormon missionaries are not allowed to watch television or movies while on their missions.)
Last night a few of us got together and decided to watch them with her.
Being the devoted fan that she is, Brinley was engaged in every minute of both films; laughing, crying, and cheering right on cue.
This is her genuine reaction to the iconic scene involving Darth Vader at the end of Rogue One.
Someone watching this could easily figure out at what point in Rogue One’s ending this led to the iconic classic 70s sci-fi film.
Some of the Facebook commenters were deciding on which sub-Reddit to share this prospective trending video as it is quite emotional and uplifting. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Lucasfilm franchise so this goes to show that the spirit of Star Wars lives on.
