Last night saw the press screening take place for the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2, and whilst the full embargo on review is still in place until April 24th, that hasn’t stopped some reactions from those lucky enough to be present from hitting the web. Read on to check them out.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is funnier than the original, a ton of surprises, and an unexpected emotional profoundness. I am Groot.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is filled with tons of surprises and an unexpected amount of emotion. Another Marvel winner.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2. is very fun. Takes the EMPIRE "split up your characters" strategy. Drax is a hoot. Baby Groot steals the show

Don't think I've heard so much laughter at a press screening. People seemed to really be digging Guardians Vol. 2. Can't say more (yet)

Really loved @Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 – great sense of humor & quite a fun film to watch as well! Can't say more until embargo breaks

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2 is a lot of fun. Action-packed & even more classic '70s/early '80s music cues.
— Anna Klassen (@AnnaJKlassen) April 18, 2017
I am allowed to say very little about GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2. But I can say this: I am Groot. WE are Groot.
— Anna Klassen (@AnnaJKlassen) April 18, 2017
However not all the reviews were so positive as you can see below.

GOTG2 isn't bad (definitely better than F8 and Kong), it just didn't meet my high expectations, which the first film created. It's no LOGAN!
— Jeff Sneider (@TheInSneider) April 18, 2017
The problem w/ GOTG2 is that the VFX threaten to swallow the film, which is way too long & too reliant on music cues. Too much family drama.
— Jeff Sneider (@TheInSneider) April 18, 2017
Didn't love #GotGVol2 as much as the 1st but it's still super fun. Really enjoy spending time w/ this kooky family, especially Drax & Groot!

I saw #GotGVol2, & though slightly uneven,I got sniffly,I did a few side looks,I laughed a lot, & overall really enjoyed it! I want more! pic.twitter.com/qe4Ek6mXBk

You know that thing where you hear a perfect pop song and then you go back the next time and the chorus still kills but it's lost that glow?

It certainly sounds as though Marvel have another’s winner on their hands, which is probably for the best seeing as it has been announced that James Gunn will be returning to helm Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3.
You can make your own mind up on the film when it hits theaters, although those of you who have to wait until May 5th may want to do the best to avoid spoilers. If you do like spoilers, however, there was an alleged leak that gave away some MAJOR details.
Set to the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the teams adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quills true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear it’s doing well? When are you expecting to check it out? Let us know below!
