With non-stop rumors about The Batman, whether it’s that it’s falling apart or that Ben Affleck is leaving the Batman role entirely, it’s been non-stop.
Now, a new rumor from 4Chan says that there will be four Batman related films in 2019.
Per the leaks:
“The plan for 2019 is to release four Batman related films. Gotham City Sirens around Valentine’s Day weekend, Nightwing on Memorial Day weekend, Batgirl in August and The Batman in November. The studio is doing this to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Batman. In addition, two Batman animated films are also planned for 2019. One will be an adaptation of The Long Halloween.”
Pretty interesting strategy but one that I’m sure people won’t be complaining about. Who would complain about more Batman? Also interesting to note is that the leaks also state that Deathstroke will be in The Batman, but won’t be the main villain:
“The Batman film will still have Deathstroke but not as a main villain. Matt Reeves wants to do a larger scale Batman film that will include the Bat family as well as most of Batman’s rogues.”
This goes with what we reported back in August, in that Deathstroke will be in the film but Black Mask will be the main villain. Whether or not that still happens, is up in the air.
As with all of these leaks, take them with a grain of salt. But they have been correct before – quite a few times.
