The Batman movie which was suppose to been helmed by Ben Affleck is likely going into another delay. Justin Kroll of Variety said that we’ll likely not be seeing the film start production until 2018. The aforementioned year was thought to have been the film’s release date, but then later it was long thought not likely to be the case. Now there’s a shift which may likely put the debut in 2019.
Hearing Matt Reeves contracted to work on APES till at least end of June, so production on BATMAN likely not starting till 2018

There has been a lot of hem-hawing regarding this Batman solo movie. Warner Bros. has been quite erratic with production dates and the erratic decisions involving the helming of the project. As of now though, Planet of the Apes’ Matt Reeves has taken Ben’s place in the director’s chair.
Kroll also mentioned BS related to any casting rumors.
Also means any casting rumors you hear are likely BS seeing that he wouldn't have time to meet with any talent till at least July

On top of that Ben Affleck admittedly said on his Facebook that he’s taken it upon himself to complete alcohol rehab and paid homage to the support of his wife Jennifer Garner.
“I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step. I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.”
An Entertainment Weekly article claimed that a source revealed to them that Ben Affleck is still working on The Batman script with chief creative officer Geoff Johns on the project. It also stated that Ben’s addiction had no impact regarding his involvement in the DCEU solo movie.
“Affleck’s alcohol addiction treatment didn’t affect his involvement in The Batman, and he’s still working on the script for the planned sequel with D.C.’s chief creative officer Geoff Johns.”
You have to admire Affleck’s honesty and what he prioritizes in life outside of Hollywood, yes?
