LOGAN: Captain America and Other Marvel Easter Eggs Revealed

    By Mark SalcidoMarch 8, 2017

Logan was recently released in theaters and all though the film has garnered rave reviews from fans and critics, some may have missed a few hidden Easter eggs for comic fans.

Minor Spoilers for the first 15 minutes of Logan.

In the film we get an introduction of what Logan has been doing in his spare time. One scene in particular is when Logan has taken a job chauffeuring for a funeral.

Now you if you blink, you might miss it and if you did, Logan finds a nice cozy spot by a tree and takes a few sips of liquor. The character of Gabriela approaches for his help and Logan shuns her away.  The cemetery where this takes place is in is the famous Marvel Comics’ Greenwood Cemetery.

This is where Sue Storm was buried during comic book writer Mark Millar’s run for Marvel. He’s also is the writer for Old Man Logan, the story the movie is loosely based on.

This cemetery was also home of Captain America’s WWII memorial during The Ultimate Story line. Steve Rogers was believed to be dead so this was an excellent spot for him and Bucky Barnes to meet for covert conversations and such.

Even though Logan takes place in Texas and Greenwood Cemetery is in New York – when it comes to these movies, who cares about logic or continuity?

So there we have it. One of many Easter Eggs in Logan.
