    DEADPOOL 2: Actor Playing CABLE Revealed?

    Deadpool 2 is in the works and with the recent teaser scene teasing the Merc with the Mouth, Reddit user Jkennie93 had a pretty spot-on theory regarding who could be playing Cable.

    The tease showed Deadpool spotting a victim at gun point and from there he makes a bee-line to a phone booth to change from his hoodie/street clothes to his Deadpool costume.

    If you take a closer look, there is graffiti on the phone booth that says, “Nathan Summers is coming.” That’s Cable’s given name. As Deadpool runs out of the phone booth towards the alley, there is also in the background 2 Firefly posters.

    Jkennie93’s theory is that Nathan Fillion could be cable based on the mix of those Easter eggs. But this confirms nothing as there’s no official casting just yet, but could Fillion be entering the franchise?

    Today, it was also announced that sources said that Stranger Things’ own sheriff, David Harbour, is being eyed for the Cable role. That he had “screen-tested” for the role.

    When inquired for comment, both Fox and Harbour had not responded.

    First of all, rumors had been going around about Russell Crow playing the part as there had been some tweets going on involving him and other members of the film industry.

    Visual effects artist James Raiz tweeted his depiction on what Crowe would look like as the future X-Man.

    Russell honed in on the action and had asked Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld on his thoughts…

    That being said, it looks like Crowe would be open to playing the part. The graphic does seem to show a pretty good comic accurate portrayal. Of course, perhaps Raiz’s artistic prowess could make anyone look good, right?

    That being said, it appears that recent rumors/speculative thoughts might steer this possibility away from Crowe.
