A lot of interesting bits and pieces are being held back for what Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 will have. Stallone being involved in the film in a Dredd-like costume, how the stage will be set for Infinity War, who will be a new Guardian, and the portrayal of Kurt Russell as Star Lord’s father.
Well, we at least have a bit more to share with the last one, which has been especially shrouded in mystery with no coverage of the first trailer or any spots whatsoever. With the Pop! Vinyl Figure of the character revealed some time back, we now have a leaked live-action image of how Ego the Living Planet will appear based on a Snapchat post.
While the origin of the photo appears unknown, it does seem to be exactly as the toy appears.
Check it out below:
A new trailer is set to be coming very soon, which will very likely feature more of the father and son, as the first one was more focused on the developing team dynamics (and of course, Baby Groot). It will debut on the next episode of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which will be presented alongside Star Lord himself, Christ Pratt on Tuesday night.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5th.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos.
