With the recent announcement of the movies title, Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been the talk of the town as of late. With anticipation at an all time high, thanks to the major success of Rogue One, not much is known about Episode 8 with the plot and its characters all being tightly wrapped in secrecy.
However – there’s one individual who has recently written on the ever reliable 4chan who claims to have information about what we can all expect to see in the next couple of months.
YouTuber, Mike Zeroh, who’s known for his questionable leaks, rumors and other sorts of speculation, has produced a video focusing on the description which was left on 4chan. With rumors circulating that the first footage from The Last Jedi will screen at the Star Wars Celebration in April, most people believe that this will only be some sort of teaser to whet the appetites of many dedicated fans.
According to the rumor which was put on 4chan, this prediction seems to be correct however they’ve also stated that not only will a sizzle reel be released but they’ll also be a teaser trailer and a second trailer featuring a few more seconds of extra footage for the attendees of the Celebration. If you’d like to avoid any potential spoilers then I would suggest that you stop reading!
Still here? Okay, well here’s a brief outline of what to expect:
- Teaser begins the exact same way as Force Awakens teaser. Finn breathing heavily before popping up in screen. We see Finn in a medical bay waking up from a coma-induced nightmare after the events of Episode 7.
- Cut to Poe Cameron coming through a sliding door on a spaceship as he offers a ominous warning ‘They’re almost here!’
- Poe, Finn and Kelly Marie Tran’s unnamed character are infiltrating what is believed to be a Super Star Destroyer dressed as First Order officers.
- Carrie Fisher’s General Leia comes in early and hints at a shadow that is growing.
- Cut to Supreme Leader Snoke stepping out of his own shadow. Supposedly he’s at least 8 foot tall and not CGI’d.
- Luke Skywalker is largely absent from the first look sneak peek but we do hear his voice near the end of the trailer as his blue lightsaber shines off the armour of Captain Phasma. He then says ‘Everything will die with us.’
Mike Zeroh then goes onto explain that the Celebration trailer will contain 3 major Luke Skywalker moments:
“The main teaser does not include Luke Skywalker and has far less money shots. The private teaser to be revealed to Celebration’s attendees will get three great money shots of Luke Skywalker. One of which is him walking down the stone steps with Rey to some sort of tree.”
So there you have it! Now a word of warning, this is not fact. Just simply a rumor. Whether you want to believe it or not is entirely up to you however I’m sure we’ll all find out soon enough. With Star Wars: The Last Jedi hitting theaters on December 15th, 2017, we still have plenty of time to enjoy all the speculation.
