Jurassic World was a hit when released but no one expected to be the monster hit that it turned out to be. Almost no news has come out about the plot of the sequel only that Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and B.D Wong would be returning. Well fanatics of the Jurassic Park variety, we have news for you.
Not too long ago, the people of the fan site Jurassic Outpost found out that Universal recently purchased two new domain names that may be related to Jurassic World 2. The domain names go by IslaNublarRescueMission.com and AllCreaturesHaveRights.com (also .org) which could be telling us what the plot of the sequel is going to be.
These domain names could mean that the story of the sequel might be going on the route of animal rights for the dinosaurs. In the previous film, some of the animals had the possibilities to be weaponized and the idea was toyed with for bit. This would be an interesting turn in the story for something that could open the doors for a deeper plot other than trying to escape the island.
The other domain name could also mean that our heroes might return to the island to rescue the animals from some form of danger that might actually be worse than the creatures.
In an interview last year from Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow, who wrote the script for Jurassic World 2 gave us an idea of the animal rights aspect of the film:
“The dinosaurs will be a parable of the treatment animals receive today: the abuse, medical experimentation, pets, having wild animals in zoos like prisons, the use the military has made of them, animals as weapons. The second part will be a very different movie that will explore new paths. For that reason, it was clear that it needed to be Bayona who would direct it, in order to have it grow and evolve with his very personal vision.”
As mentioned earlier, Jurassic World 2 will bring back Pratt, Howard and Wong, but will also add Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda and most recently; Silence of the Lambs star Ted Levine. Jurassic World 2 is written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly and will be directed by J.A Bayona. The film is set to be released on Jun 22, 2018.
