Star Wars Episode VIII – The Last Jedi comes out this year and somehow people have gotten onto the UK set at Pinewood Studios and got a good look and a good shot of the location.
The photo revealed a large prop tree on the set that Mike Zeroh of YouTube thinks may be a central focus delving into the history of the Jedi. You would need to take all this with a grain of salt, but even in comic lore this tree was mentioned in the comics via Luke’s encounter with Poe Dameron’s parents when Poe was young.
Mike believes that this tree could very well be a vessel that supplies information from the past. That Luke Skywalker could somehow be receiving information from it that would help him guide him on his path.
Remember that Kylo Ren turned to the Dark Side when Luke was training him and it could be likely that he needs guidance of some sort while at the Jedi temple on the island.
Luke has always been witness to the ghosts of Yoda and Ben Kenobi. Lastly, all three appeared at the end of Return of the Jedi. Could they be in consult with the older Skywalker while in refuge on Ahch-To?
There are also speculative thoughts that it would be good to bring Anakin Skywalker back into the current trilogy as his gradual story arch spans through all six previous films, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Could he appear via that rumored Force tree on Ahch-To as a Force ghost once again?
