The Best Superpowers For Real-Life Scenarios

    By Frank PalmerFebruary 6, 2017

One of the most popular trends in the movie world right now is comic book movies based around heroes with super powers. Each of the main characters, from Superman and Spider-Man to Wolverine, has his own powers that differentiate him while helping the audience to understand something about him and retain an interest in his adventures. Indeed, sometimes when watching these films it is hard not to feel that these powers could be useful to us in everyday life.

Superman – The Power of Flight

Perhaps the most iconic superhero of them all is Superman, created by DC Comics, who possesses a raft of super powers – ranging from superhuman strength to heat and X-ray vision. While all of these abilities would definitely have their uses – with Superman himself deploying them to see through walls and overcome physically strong opponents in the movies. However it is his ability to fly that is perhaps his most iconic power – who doesn’t picture him in flight? – and this would be especially useful when it came to the morning commute to work. Imagine, no more traffic jams, bus or train delays!

    Spider-Man – Spider-Sense

Again Spider-Man gained a range of special powers after being bitten by a spider that was radioactive, including superhuman levels of strength and agility. In the films these give him an edge over the bad guys as he is able to climb and swing from building to building – using the webs he shoots from his wrist – during spectacular action and chase sequences. However his spider-sense, which lets him sense danger in advance would be a gift if you are browsing the internet during the work day – as you would be able to sense the boss coming before he entered the room.

Wolverine – The Power of Regenerative Healing

As with all of the other characters in Marvel’s X-Men series, Wolverine has mutant powers, including the ability to regenerate and restore damaged cells at a much faster rate than ordinary people – which he uses for quick recoveries during battles. If you are somebody who loves playing sport during your social hours then this ability would be especially handy after contact sports like rugby and football – ensuring you never have to miss a game as a result of an injury sustained while playing.

Wonder Woman – The Power of Stamina

Wonder Woman is another classic DC character who possesses a range of powers, including enhanced flight, speed, agility and strength – however her amazing powers of stamina could be particularly useful in some real-life situations. For example if you are trying to win out in an activity that lasts a long time, such as a game of casino poker, as this skill would guarantee your ability to stay mentally and physically sharper than any of your opponents – winning you the cash.

It would be great to have these powers in our real lives, but at least we can watch the movies and dream that we are superheroes.
