If I told you that a Greek Demi-god was set to join the second season CW hit, Supergirl, you’d probably be salivating at the prospect of some connection to Wonder Woman before you even finish reading this sentence. Unfortunately This is not the case, as it is actually Hercules: The Legendary Journeys actor Kevin Sorbo who is joining the cast. Read on to get the full details.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Sorbo, who also starred in the cult hit, Andromeda, is set to join the cast for the second half of the season. No details on who he will be portraying have been realeased at the moment, but the publication does reveal he will be portraying a mysterious villain.
Speaking of the casting, the show’s executive producer Andrew Kreisberg explained:
“Since his days as Hercules, Kevin Sorbo has brought such a strong presence to the screen and we couldn’t be more excited to have him join us on Supergirl.”
Sorbo’s casting comes just days after Lois and Clark actress, Teri Hatcher was also cast in the show, could the two roles be somehow connected. We’ll find out in the coming weeks as we move towards the finale.
Based on the DC character, Supergirl AKA Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero who she was always meant to be on The CW series, “Supergirl.”
Supergirl airs Mondays on the CW.
