Fox have announced a second TV series based in the X-Men universe, after the soon to be released ‘Legion’.
They have given a pilot order to be produced by 20th TV and Marvel Television. With the main creative name behind the project being Matt Nix, who will be both writer and executive producer.
Per The Wrap:
A new X-Men TV series is one step closer to becoming reality. Fox has ordered to pilot an untitled “Marvel Action-Adventure Series” from Matt Nix.
The new drama pilot’s connection to X-Men comes from its storyline, which follows two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants who must fight to survive.
Little information has been given about the pilot so far, but the premise is said to be about ‘two human parents and their mutant child who are forced to go on the run from the government and end up joining an underground mutant network.’
Overall it sounds pretty exciting, and if ‘Legion’ proves to be any good, then there’s good reason to be excited about this project as well.
