A third Hellboy you say? But I thought all hope was lost? Well maybe not! So get off the floor and dry your eyes, as Guillermo del Toro has recently took it to Twitter and revealed his intentions on completing the trilogy.
Now it’s no secret that Hellboy 1 & 2 didn’t exactly set the box office on fire – however, it still has a strong cult following amongst many people from around the globe and the vast majority of critics were more than favorable to both movies. Talks of a third film have been an ongoing for almost a decade and at one point it looked like a very real possibility however after a plethora of problems arose, all progress came to a deafening standstill.
With Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman both being very vocal in the past about wanting to finish off the trilogy, it now seems as if talks have started once again with del Toro recently taking it to Twitter to ask fans whether or not they’d like to see a third installment via a poll. The options were ‘Yes’ and ‘Hell, Yes.’
Informal poll (let's see how many votes we get in 24 hours)

Slightly corrupt, however enthusiasm for a third seemed more than favorable as over 100,00 people responded in less than 24 hours with a resounding ‘Hell, Yes,’ response (which at the time of writing, garnered 68% of the vote). Now if you thought that was promising, well strap yourselves in for more good news as del Toro then updated his Twitter to announce that he had already spoken with Ron Perlman about the movie and he’ll be talking with Mike Mignola next.
I spoke with Ron Perlman. He's in for the sit down. Will approach Mignola next. Will keep you posted. Very moved by your love of pt I & II
