Donald J. Trump’s inauguration speech was today and someone spotted a familiar line from The Dark Knight Rises, featuring the DC villain Bane, played by Tom Hardy.
Tampa, Florida citrus grower Timothy Burke pieced together Trump’s speech along with Bane’s speech at Blackgate prison. It was posted on Twitter and you can’t help but get a chuckle out of it.

It is interesting how fictional villains are being compared to the new leader and can be thought of an allegory of sorts. Speaking of which, NME interviewed The Walking Dead’s Lennie James regarding the post-apocalyptic zombie world and was asked about the allegoric comparison.
“We were here before Trump. He’s what happens if you watch too much Walking Dead! You start thinking, “Well that guy looks like he could be President!”
Who knows what the future of social media holds for these allegoric comparisons, but it is amusing to see these quips and zingers come up online.
What is really interesting is that back in 2012 he reviewed this very same Christopher Nolan movie and had been quite impressed with the film.
