When talking about the DC Extended Universe, the words Bright and Colourful aren’t likely to be uttered. Whilst dark and moody fit certain characters, such as Batman, there are others which it simply doesn’t suit.
One such example of this is Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen aka The Flash. Whilst his costume contains some elements of the source material, it is distinctly lacking in color. Luckily one fan has taken it upon hims of to show us what could be with a simple change to the color palette. Read on to check it out.
The artwork came courtesy of Reddit user, The_Arrowverse – and gives us a couple of examples of alternative suits. The first, which you can check out below, makes the red on the suit mùch lighter whilst still maintaining several of the black highlights. The piece also brightens the yellow found on the characters gloves, belt and symbol.
Check it out below:
He also created a piece which cuts out almost all the black and instead opts for an all red approach. You can check out that artwork below.
And just to give you an idea as to what the artist has done you can check out the original suit below.
Whilst, it has been hard to judge the big screen version of the suit based in live action based on the little footage we have seen in the Justice League trailer and his brief cameo in Suicide Squad, it’s entirely likely that the suit will look fine on the big screen. Although, Warner Brothers making their films more akin to their comic book counterpart can’t be a bad thing.
You can check out Ezra Miller’s take on the Scarlet Speedster when the Justice League assembles on our screens, November 17th 2017.
