Having been renewed for a 6th season, Arrow has been a success amongst many comic book fans. With a colorful cast of characters on display, Arrow has certainly played up to its comic book roots with crossovers featuring The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow all having expanded the Arrowverse to new depths.
Well now, it looks like David Ramsey who’s known for playing John Diggle aka Spartan, would like to broaden the cast by including one of the world’s greatest detectives. The Batman.
Stephen Amell and David Ramsey partook in a question and answer session with fans at the New Orleans Wizard World comic-con a few days ago, in which a discussion about the possibility of seeing the Caped Crusader appearing in Arrow soon cropped up.
Ramsey revealed how it would be great to see Bruce Wayne go toe to toe with Oliver McQueen and duke it out with nothing but their bare hands:
“I think for sure Bruce Wayne. Like, I would love to see these two billionaires; well, [asking co-star Stephen Amell] are you still a billionaire? Math is hard. You should be, you totally should be. I would love to see these two guys at a table together just like ‘Sup Bruce’, ‘Sup Oliver’. You know what I mean? And duke it out, like no utility belt, no arrows, just hand to hand man.”
He then went onto suggest who he’d like to see in the role of the Dark Knight.
Listen, I would love, honestly? I would love Ben [Affleck] to play Bruce Wayne. Yeah, have him on the show, why not join the universe? To me, that would be dope, just like, how big would that be?”
Unfortunately for Ramsey and many fans of the show, this’ll never happen as Warner Brothers plans to keep its film and television divisions separate, which is probably for the best. We saw last year how hard it can be to create a tonally consistent universe with the DC Cinematic Universe only being 3 movies in. Adding a television department into the mix would only make the whole thing more trouble than it’s worth.
