Despite the reasoning behind Batman and Superman’s fighting in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, it does make perfect sense the two would be at odds against one another. After all, they each have their own motivations and methods regarding fighting crime, and it was only a matter of time before they’d struggle against one another.
And with the way their own versus film ended, Superman was allegedly killed and it was up to Batman and Wonder Woman to begin recruiting meta-humans to start fighting crime and whatever villainy was to come next. All of which is supposed to lead into the upcoming Justice League crossover.
Total Film recently spoke with Superman actor Henry Cavill and asked about his revival in Justice League. And it seems that both Superman and Batman still have some issues against one another.
“There’s pretty much an argument between him and Batman as to who is the leader,” said Cavill.
It’s not known how serious this argument will be yet, but it definitely sounds like an interesting dynamic for the film to look at. And who knows, maybe someone else entirely will come out as leader of the Justice League?
We’ll find out when Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
