It’s widely been accepted that Prometheus was a major letdown. The film pumped all of us up to be something special, but just didn’t quite measure up. Well, from what we’ve heard so far, Alien: Covenant will be an entirely different movie and take the franchise back to its roots.
Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby. James Franco also has a role.

As for whether or not the film will actually be better than Prometheus, we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m not really sure how it wouldn’t be better, though.
In the film:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members (Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup) of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. While there, they meet David (Michael Fassbender), the synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. The mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival.
Alien: Covenant hits theaters May 19th, 2017.
