After the success that Marvel have had with their shared cinematic universe, it was only a matter of time before others followed suit, and while some were expected such as the DC Extended Universe there’s a good chance that nobody would have predicted a universe centered around Universals classic horror franchises. That’s what we have however, and whilst Dracula Untold was supposed to be the first film in this franchise it looks as though The Mummy will actually hold this honor based on the teaser released in anticipation of tomorrow’s full trailer debut. Read on to find out more.
Despite being only fifteen seconds long the trailer gives us a look at Tom Cruise’s hero as well as Sofia Boutella’s titular Egyptian monster, well, her creepy eyes anyway. The trailer also gives us a look at our first look at the interconnectivity of the films in the form of Russel Crowe’s Dr. Henry Jekyll.

The Mummy will be kept under wraps until June 9th, 2017, this will be followed by film’s focusing on Frankenstein’s monster, Count Dracula, the Wolf Man, Gill-man, the Invisible Man, Bride of Frankenstein and the monster hunting badass Van Helsing. I can’t wait for The Avengers style team up film where they untite to take on aliens.
