If there is one thing which Disney like to do, it’s release plenty of footage of films before hand. This was most noticeable with Avengers: Age of Ultron which clocked up a grand total of 42 TV spots, 4 Trailers and 16 Clips before the film finally hit screens.
It looks as though Disney are set to continue this tradition with the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which despite having two ‘Final’ trailers already has recently released another TV Spot focusing on the return of iconic villain, Darth Vader. However the trailer also reveals the return of yet another classic character.
Whilst the majority of the trailer is actually footage that we have previously seen, it does feature a couple of interesting new shots, most notably the inclusion of Grand Moff Tarkin Overlooking construction of the Death Star. Tarkin first appeared in Star Wars: A New Hope played by veteran Hammer Horror actor, Peter Cushing. Whilst Cushing passed away in 1994, the role was reprised in a non-speaking role in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith by Farscape actor, Wayne Pygram.
Prequel Trilogy Jimmy Smits and Genevieve O’Reilly are set to reprise their roles as Bail Organa and Mon Mothma, respectively in Rogue One, Pygram isn’t set to return, with Entertainment Weekly confirming that the character will be brought to life via computer generated effects.
You can check out the TV Spot, titled ‘Breath’, below. Keep an ear out for for a much more intimidating version of the Imperial March:
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to hit theaters December 15th.
