Suicide Squad’s tone set itself apart from the rest of the DCEU for its more zaney and less “dark” atmosphere (it was clearly obvious of the route of the trailers since the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice reception). Interviews and stories of the cast and crew spoke about the huge interaction the actors had being fun (and in Leto’s case, downright insane) that really added to the chemistry.
For those hoping to add a bit more to their Suicide Squad needs, a blooper reel has just recently been revealed to just show how the chemistry was with the people on camera, and it was definitely a good experience for them. Much like the film, the real star of the humor is Will Smith, making the most of his flubs with some of that classic Will improv.
And much like the film as well, Jared Leto was overshadowed with some very miniscule footage. Maybe it could have to do with his dedication to character being uncomfortable for the most part. Still, when Deadshot’s sneezes intimidate Harley more than Joker, that really says something.
