One of the biggest and most appealing aspects of LEGO bricks is the ability to create whatever you can imagine. It enables people the ability to construct cityscapes, both futuristic and ancient, characters, and anything beyond. And best of all, this gives the feeling that whatever you create could be a part of its own little reality. But what if it was a part of ours, and LEGO characters were real?
Well, someone came up with the idea for it, and it’s nothing short of disturbing.
In a new video from Adam Savage’s Tested, Norm Chan and Frank Ippolito feature a brand new mask for Ippolito’s horrifically amazing creation. And just what is it? A lifelike LEGO man, of course! With realistic stick including wrinkles, creases, and imperfections, it’s almost uncannily realistic. And even more horrific are its eyes, which are black and bulbous, not unlike a doll’s eyes or perhaps a shark’s. Especially eerie is its slightly opened mouth and the disturbingly flattened ears on the sides of its cylindrical head. Finally, the most impressive aspect happens to be the hands, with are composed of two giant fingers and finger nails, respectively. It’s a creepy way to imagine a LEGO person’s crab-like hands, and man, it’s just a little too creepy.
Chan and Ippolito have also promised a new series of videos which will explain how they made the costume, and soon you could have your very own fleshy LEGO man come to life. If that doesn’t sound disturbing enough, then check out the video of them roaming Comic Con with the suit and see for yourself below:
