Last night, Disney and Marvel announced that ABC would be bringing the Inhuman Royal Family to both the small (and big screen) next year in Marvel’s The Inhumans. For those of you who missed the news, you can check it out here. Well now we have some more details on the upcoming project, including how many episodes we can expect and where we can expect the show to take place. Read on to find out more.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the show is set to take the Agent Carter approach and only feature Eight episodes, the first two of which are going to be released to IMAXtheatres for two weeks. They also revealed that the show is ‘not a spinoff of Marvel drama Agents of SHIELD.’, which is relatively interesting given how it was that show which actually introduced the Inhumans into the wider MCU.
The New York Times has added that the show is set to take place in the present day and will also feature at least some scenes on the moon and for those of you wondering whether they can pull off such a visual heavy story, the publication goes on to explain that due it’s cooperation with IMAX the show ‘will include cinema-quality visual effects’ that will be ‘enhanced due to Imax technology.’
It’s definately going to interesting to see how this will play into the wider Marvel universe, hopefully it can be what brings the TV and Movie worlds together.
Marvel’s The Inhumans is set to begin it’s Eight episode run next fall on ABC, with the first two episodes set to screened in IMAX theatres next September.
