It’s been long rumored that Hugh Jackman’s upcoming swansong, Logan, would be influenced by Mark Millar’s acclaimed arc ‘Old Man Logan’. However due to many issues regarding the rights of the stories more important characters being held at other studios, a direct adaption was never going to happen.
One very talented artist has taken it upon himself to give us a look at what the film could have been.
Fans of the comic will remember that the finale saw a weary Logan return home to find his family had been slaughtered by the inbred offspring of Bruce Banner and his cousin, Jennifer Walters. This then led him on a hunt for revenge as he sliced his way through the Banner clan before finally coming up against The Hulk himself.
With The Hulk’s rights being held at Marvel Studios, the chances of seeing the Jade Giant and The Wolverine squaring off will sadly, never be seen on the big screen. However graphic artist, George Evangelista, has created an image of what a clash between Hugh Jackman’s Logan and Mark Rufallo’s Hulk would look like in reality and it’s safe to say that it looks pretty damn epic. It’s almost sad to think that it will never actually take place.
