Yes that’s right, it’s yet another remake. As we all know, nothing is sacred in Hollywood and as time goes on, originality is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Well it now seems as if Max Landis will be remaking his fathers 1981 hit movie, An American Werewolf in London.
Known for its spectacular effects and great use of black comedy, the film was a huge financial success and although critics were initially mixed, it’s now regarded as a cult classic.
Max Landis will be responsible for writing the script and will also be in charge of directing duties whereas The Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman and David Alpert, who’s the executive producer for TWD TV show, will be producing through their Skybound Entertainment banner for Universal Pictures.
Not much is known in regards to the direction of the movie however it’ll be interesting to see what ideas Max Landis comes up with and whether or not he’ll be able to implement them in the final product. He’ll certainly have his work cut out for him if he wants to equal his fathers as after all, who can forget that iconic transformation scene?
