Mike Colter: Luke Cage Doesn’t Think of Himself As Black Superhero

    By Mark SalcidoOctober 29, 2016

We’re currently attending Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con, in particular, a panel with Mike Colter and Stan Lee, and Colter was just asked some very interesting questions.

The topic of whether or not Luke Cage thinks of himself as a black superhero came up – and here’s what Colter had to say on the subject:

“Luke Cage doesn’t think of himself as a black superhero, he thinks of himself as a superhero who happens to be black.”

Obviously, given the show’s subject matter and things that have been going on as of late, this is a very hot subject.

We’ll have the entire panel uploaded shortly. Stay tuned!

You can watch Mike Colter on Marvel’s Luke Cage – currently streaming on Netflix.
