Chris Hemsworth’s Prince of Asgard has had a pretty standard look over the course of his four films, but it looks like the character will be receiving a new set of threads in his upcoming three-quel, Thor: Ragnarok.
Now, thanks to a new behind the scenes picture, we have a look at what it will be. Read on to check it out.
The look at the character comes courtesy of lead actor, Chris Hemsworth’s official Instagram. Aswell as showing Thor in his new getup, we also have a look at the film’s director Taiki Waititi.

While it’s likely that this may not be the Thunder Gods only outfit in the film, it is most definately different from previous appearances, taking on a much more traditional Viking look. It relies more on leather than the metal of previous iterations. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the film is taking a much more Comic accurate take on the Asgardian mythos, instead of the more cosmic aspect present in the first two films.
Thor: Ragnarok will see the titular hero team up with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk to take on the evil Hela and her forces, whilst trying to find his father who was gone missing after his brother Loki took control of Asgard.
Thor: Ragnarok is set to hit theaters November 3rd, 2017.
