Many people were surprised to see that The Walking Dead’s Season 7 premiere would open with not one – but two – deaths from the main cast.

Interestingly, just before the premiere, a video had leaked showing the death of Maggie Greene. Fans thought this would be the true outcome, but by the time of the premiere, it turned out that Maggie survived.

Apparently it was an alternate take from the beginning of the season 7 production.

It’s unknown why such a take would be filmed or leaked, but it was possibly a cover-up for people aware of the actual characters that would be getting killed.
