Although Cable is set to appear in the Deadpool sequel, it’s been highly rumored that the character Domino will also be featured. And with a new shortlist of potential actresses released, it only makes the rumor that much more believable.
According to Collider, the shortlist includes Lizzy Caplan (“Masters of Sex”), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (“10 Cloverfield Lane”), Sienna Miller (“American Sniper”), Sofia Boutella (“Star Trek Beyond”), Stephanie Sigman (“Spectre”), and Sylvia Hoeks (“Overspel”). There could also be other actresses involved, however the ones listed will be the actresses either already tested or about to be.
Previously actress Mackenzie Davis was rumored for the role, but denied the rumors:
No! [laughs] It’s very interesting…People keep sending me printouts being like, ‘This is so cool!’ And I’m like, ‘Right? I also think it’s cool! But it’s not true!’ I mean. I’d love to keep the ruse going. It’s sort of cool that people think I’m doing ‘Deadpool.’ But no! I don’t have any news to share. I wish I did!”
Hopefully we’ll know soon whether or not the character will be included and who will be playing her.
Once more directed by Tim Miller and starring Ryan Reynolds, the sequel is set for a release on January 12, 2018.
