At the New York Comic Con during a Q&A for the upcoming film Underworld: Blood Wars, franchise star Kate Beckinsale was asked about crossing over with Blade, Marvel’s iconic vampire hunter.

“No. We had that idea. No.” Beckinsale said before revealing some exciting information:

They’re busy. They’re doing something with Blade.”

A new Blade project has been talked about off and on ever since Marvel reacquired the rights in 2012, and fans have been begging for a new entry ever since. The last Blade film was in 2004 with Blade: Trinity.

Wesley Snipes, the original actor for Blade, has also been talked about off and on about returning to the role. And despite several meetings with Marvel, he continues to insist that the “ball’s in Marvel’s court…”

It seems it’s only a matter of time before Blade returns, but how? Will Wesley Snipes return to the role, and will it be in a film, TV series, or Netflix event?
