Earlier this week, Lionsgate and Saban released the official movie posters of their upcoming Power Rangers film. To keep the excitement for the new film going, they have announced that the voice of their most trusted well known and lovable ally of the Power Rangers has been found. Saturday Night Live Alumni Bill Hader has been cast to voice the Robot Alpha 5.
You might be thinking, “Why him?”
Well folks, Hader is perfect for the role. Not only because of his skill level of comedy – but that he has had a long history of voice work such as South Park, Inside Out, Sausage Party, BFG, The Angry Birds Movie and…
As a Voice Consultant for BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Hader joins the likes of RJ Cyler (Me And Earl and the Dying Girl), Becky Gomez (Empire) Dacre Montgomery (Safe Neighborhood), Naomi Scott (The Martian), and Ludi Lin (Marco Polo) with amazing Golden Globe and Emmy-winner actor Bryan Cranston (Why Him?) as Zordon and three time Emmy nominee Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 3) as the Rita Repulsa.
The idea of this movie just keeps getting better and better.
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
