With already four years of teasing Thanos and his malicious chair, we may just finally know what is up with the events of the brooding purple chin and what the Infinity Gauntlet have in store for us in Avengers: Infinity War.
HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD!
LRM managed to get some leaked bits at their disposal to reveal some sparse yet interesting details. It appears that unlike the previous crossovers being based on a Marvel story of the same name, Infinity War will seemingly feature not one, but two stories merged together. The stories confirmed are Infinity Gauntlet, which involves Thanos obtaining all the Infinity Gems for his Infinity Gauntlet, and Infinity War, which will include Marvel characters Adam Warlock and Magus.
The central motivation, however, reveals that the Mad Titan is hellbent on destruction to appease his love for Death, a Marvel character that is the female personification of the Grim Reaper. More souls for her, specifically half the life in the universe, would be quite a gift for her to potentially fall in love with him. So with that being said, we have a strong indicator that Death will be featured in this film. Thanos should be thankful of copyright about now, because knowing Deadpool’s history, The Merc with a Mouth himself would have turned full Mr. Steal-Your-Girl that moment and made it all the worse for everyone.
Only other details known right now are a crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers themselves, along with a grand return of Nick Fury. The popular theory is the Marvel televised shows on Netflix may also appear, but not sure if knives and Crayola will be very fitting personally.
Infinity War begins filming November 7th, with a current release date of May 4th, 2018.
