New Petition Asks Warner Bros. To Cast Shia Labeouf As Red Hood In The DCEU

    By Frank PalmerSeptember 19, 2016

There have been a lot of interesting petitions created this year. They don’t really end up going anywhere, but they are definitely interesting. Whether it’s the one where fans asked for Rotten Tomatoes to be shut down after negative reviews of Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad or a petition for Warner Bros. to remove Zack Snyder from the DCEU – fans are the most vocal they’ve ever been.

Well, a new petition has surfaced asking for Warner Bros. to cast Shia Labeouf as Red Hood in the DCEU. Here’s some of the reasoning behind it (corrected some of the grammar):

    • Shia labeouf is willing to go the distance to be the best that his character can be in recent films.
    • Ben Affleck was hated by so many people because he was cast as Batman and now, he is loved by many after an amazing performance as Batman.
    • Shia Labeouf is truly one of the most talented actors in Hollywood, if you’ve seen his recent films.

It’s interesting because we recently heard the news that the actor was approached for Suicide Squad by David Ayer but was deemed “too crazy” by Warner Bros.

Here’s a professional artist’s rendering of what he could look like as the character:

And by professional artist rendering, I mean that I just went into paint and cropped his face onto this poster from Under The Red Hood.

If you’d like to sign the petition, here’s where you can do so.

What do you think of this potential casting? Be sure to tell us in the comment section below!
