In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s election season, and a particularly nasty one at that. Now, it’s a given that when the Republicans and Democrats are out on the campaign trail, that there’s gonna be trash talking. A LOT OF TRASH TALKING. But it feels like there’s something in the air this year. Something more inflammatory than usual, and we’ve witnessed scenes unprecedented in their levels of outright hatred. Counterbalanced by their unusually high levels of stupid…
And amidst this angry, stupid, angry exchange, as Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton continue to circle each other like a pair of fading, broken boxers, we’re all holding our breath to see which one throws victory away, rather than wins it.
But, believe me, whether you love or loathe Donald Trump, what he’s achieving is immensely significant. And it’ll end up being made into a movie at some point in future, mark my words. Will he win the presidency? Everybody has an opinion, but nobody knows. He is, however, fielding some pretty heavyweight celebrity support in his corner.
Amongst those celebs who have come out in support of the billionaire businessman are Clint Eastwood, Charlie Sheen, Gary Busey, Mike Tyson, Hulk Hogan, and Lou Ferrigno. Now that’s a tough crowd to take on, whoever you are, but it seems that Mrs Clinton may have reviewed an endorsement even bigger than the two former Hulks. A Batman. And not just any Batman….
We’re not talking Bale or Batfleck here, people. We’re talking outright Bat-Royalty. After 25 years of portraying Bruce Wayne on our screens, DC Icon Kevin Conroy has taken to the Internet in an effort to persuade voters to keep Trump out of the White House and vote for Hilary Clinton instead.
Now this won’t come as a surprise to anybody who already follows Conroy on social media, as he’s already previously clashed with DonaldTrump during the presidential campaign. Last summer, during a photo opportunity with a young fan, Trump turned to the camera to answer a question, and delivered the classic gravelly line ‘I’M BATMAN.’ Barely 24 hours had passed before Conroy took to Twitter to subtly point out that after voicing the Dark Knight in over 30 separate films, computer games and TV shows, if anybody was Batman, it wasn’t ‘some guy with a big mouth and bad hair’.
Conroy is clearly passionate about his politics, and has used his adopted superhero status in an effort to get the electorate to make a stand against all he perceives as wrong with Trump’s unique brand of politics. The voice actor goes to great lengths to paint the Republican candidate as a villain, citing ‘dark forces’ at work, and the alienation of different groups of people.
Check out the video below, and let us know if it in anyway sways your vote. After all, HE’S BATMAN!
